Towing on a dolly a '00 toyota 4runner, 3600 lbs. towing w/ '06 honda pilot, class 3 hitch. 250 mi. PROBLEMS??

  1. Make sure the load is properly secured and centered a little forward of the axle on the trailer...The trailer should have its own brake system and it should be in good working order...Check to make sure that the trailer lights, including brake lights are on line...Take a look online at the speed limits for vehicles pulling trailers in your state...Go easy on the brakes and downshift - even if you have an automatic...Try to keep a steady engine speed between 2000-2500 rpm - this will help give better gas mileage.

  2. You should be fine because the max towing is 4500 pounds just drive a little slower and be easy on the brakes, also if you hit a hill put the transmission in drive but on the flat road just leave it in overdrive...........
