Townsville High School?

Question

There's a high school in Townsville called Townsville State High School ( Town High ). I was wondering when the year starts, when it ends, and what breaks they have.

And, what do the uniforms consist of?

All QLD state schools have these term dates for 2008:

1st Term 29 January - 4 April

2nd Term 14 April - 27 June

3rd Term 14 July - 19 September

4th Term 6 October - 12 December

Townsville SHS school calendar will be the same as all other state high schools in Queensland. See:

Town High's uniform code is:

SHIRT Polo style school T-shirt in bottle green/cream birdseye with navy/bottle green

birdseye across the top.

GIRLS Navy skirt with inverted pleats or navy blue shorts.

BOYS Navy shorts in basketball style in mid navy mock mesh or in traditional or cargo

style in mid navy polyester/viscose.

SHOES Clean shoes with enclosed uppers, preferably vinyl or leather. Special

footwear is required for Manual Arts subjects.

SENIOR A green and white striped shirt with school logo. Girls must also wear a clip on

tie in navy blue and green.

WINTER Navy blue tailored long pants. The school navy blue zip up fleecy lined jacket

with school logo or a plain navy blue pullover/jacket.

HATS A hat should be worn for outside activities

GENERAL

1. Safety Standards Safety standards involving footwear, hair, jewellery,

must also be met. Students who do not have suitable

clothing will not be admitted to class.

2. Jewellery The Following is acceptable – studs or sleepers in ears,

a watch and or 1 bracelet/bangle, 1 ring and 1 chain or

necklace.

3. School Representative Dress Students representing the school on official

excursions/activities are to wear full school uniform,

unless notified otherwise
