My 11 month old needs some new toys, can you please recommend any that your child liked at about that age or a big older. He seems to out grown al of his at the same time.

He is Just starting to walk, his favorite "toys" right now are the fridge and all the cupboards, he is also a big fan of ribbon.

Thanks!

  1. I just reported that other comment and it was removed.

Anyway, my son LOVES the Busy Ball Popper from Playskool.  Also check out the Laugh and Learn House.  How about a push toy?

My son is just discovering stuffed animals.

Also big faves include my tupperware cabinet.  He loves to pull everything out.

FInally, he really like blocks.  He doesn't stack them or anything, but really likes to just hold them in his hand.

  2. first off chris l you have been reported. people like you need to be....never mind.

i agree about the cupboards. i couldnt keep my kids out of them.

  3. cupboards and fridge, lol,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,try tonka trucks

  4. My daughter loved Melissa and Doug letter fridge magnets (or similar). The whole letter is magnetic so there's no small piece to fall off and choke on.  And it's something else to keep them occupied in the kitchen with so they don't pull out all your cabinet items.

If he's just starting to walk have you tried a push toy like a ball popper? A little after those they start to like the pull toys like those dogs on a leash that bark when you walk.

My daughter had one of those Duplo dump trucks that you can push around and then dump the blocks out the back and put them back in. Anything with a lot of parts you can move around and back and forth are hits.  SHe also loved this basket of play food we got at ToysRus. She would show them each to us so we could name them and then she would take them in and out of the basket they came in.

Sand, buckets, and shovels. We have a sand box but you could probably just have a container of sand to play with.  And a little watering can was a big hit too. Crayons and paper of course...

She loved tents. We used to make them out of blanket or sheets over the furniture but we also got a little pop up toy one for the yard that was a hit.
