Toy suggestions for 10 month old?

My son is 10 months old and is getting bored playing with his baby toys. I'm looking for some suggestions of toys that I should buy for him to stimulate him more. I can tell he is bored because he doesn't want to play with them anymore, and he follows me around constantly looking for me to stimulate him. I did get him a truck, and that keeps him occupied for 10-15 minutes at a time, but the baby toys and teethers are just too young for him. Any suggestions?

  1. Just get some simple animal toys.

  2. Emma is ten months old almost and she likes to play with stacking rings, her xylophone, a shape sorter, and some type of animal that has holes in it that balls go into.  She really loves her baby doll (not really a good option for you though).  One of her favorite things to do is to get a ball under the table and chase it over and under the chairs.  She mostly likes climbing up on things and crawling around though.

  3. I bought my nine month old the fisher price sing along stage stage and he loves it.  It has a mirror that he looks into and laughs and four different big buttons that he presses and the lights and music comes on.  He pulls himself up on it and starts dancing.  It is so cute!

He is also into toys that have different moving parts.  I have a cube thing that was given to me that has "doors" on it that he can open and shut, little spinning balls that he can maneuver and a bead maze.  That will hold his attention for a while.

Another one of his favorites is a big plastic ball.  It cost me two dollars at Walmart and it probably gets played with the most.  He will tire himself out chasing it around the living room.  He can say three words, "mama", "dada", and "ball", that is how much he loves it.

Just some suggestions, hope that helps.

  4. go on toysrus.com and click the link on the left side for

    newborns - 12 month old.

There is a variety to chose from. =]

  5. I think he is at the stage where a cup, bowl, pots and pans would be fun. :). I would rotate my sons toys, I would put away some toys and bring out others, every month or so. When I do bring out the toys he played with months ago, he would get excited again. You could try that, or just plain kitchen items, lol. They are curious at that stage. I would not buy new toys, trust me.
