I am a single mum with a baby, and while he is still young and not at school I would like to look into the option of living and working abroad for a year with him. 1. First, you need to find a job to support your son unless you're filthy rich and you don't need to make a living. Second, you have to find out the demand of your talent in the area that you're moving to. Otherwise, you can't find a job there. Third, you also need to find out the economy of the country you're moving to. Is the job easy to find? As a foreigner, would you be considered before the locals? Do you speak the language if you move to France or Italy? Those are some of the basic requirements before moving to another country. Don't worry about natural disaster right now. You need to put your son's interests first before your own.

You have to be realistic about it before moving.
