Toymaker toeing to thrive in Loyalty Card Handicap
Toymaker is likely to make a big impact in “Highly Commended” Pontefract Loyalty Card Handicap (Div 1) which will take place at Pontefract racecourse on Tuesday, April 10.
The Class 5 contest over the distance of 1 meter and 4 yards is scheduled to start at 2:20 (GMT). For the huge prize money worth £2,386, the James Given-trained bay gelding will confidently compete against 13 rivals including Indieslad, Jacob Mccandles,
Moral Issue, Wiseman´s Diamond, Eastward Ho, Five Hearts, Hits Only Jude, Tuxedo, First Class Favour, Praxios, Cara´s Request, Cheers Buddy and Transmit.
Toymaker has been performing well since the very beginning of his career. The maverick horse staged his debut on July 31, 2010 and finished 5th in his maiden outing.
The Antoniades Family-owned gelding elegantly grabbed third spot in his second last start on February 16, 2012. He was 11/8 favourite for that event.
Finally, the five-year-old brilliant gelding broke his maiden on March 22. Fighting against 11 competitors in 32redbet.Com Handicap, he nicely clinched top spot.
This victory was an indeed a big breakthrough which installed Toymaker at a favourable position in the market.
Currently, the gifted sprinter is carrying immense winning momentum which will surely help him thrive in the Handicap. His chances to finish first are more than 90 percent provided he manages to contain two of his opponents like Tuxedo and Eastward Ho.
Tuxedo possesses an impressive track record. The Peter Hiatt-trained veteran gelding has won 6 out of his total 44 starts to date. After earning a runner-up rank on February 4, 2012, he went on to bag a big triumph on March 19. The dashing horse again finished
2nd in his last outing on March 30.
On the other hand, Eastward Ho is on a hat-trick. The Jason Ward-trained talented gelding won two races in a row during December 2011. Prior to this, he had delivered some outstanding performances in October.
In this situation, the race is likely to be packed with twists and turns. The hot favourite horse will have to pass through some tough challenges in order to taste victory. Good luck to all the runners.
