Question:

Toyota 1990 pickup Where is fuel filter?

According to auto parts store, this filter is bolted onto the body/frame somewhere between the tank and injector system. I can't find it. Anyone know exactly where it is?

Pickup is a long bed with 4 cylinder engine.

  1. tough spot..under the intake manifold, just above the starter. if it has air conditioning it is a bit tougher still. If you have a 4x4-it would be easiest to remove the R/F wheel and the 4 bolt plate under the rt side fender apron and you can see it better. For safety, disconnect the battery to prevent any spark from the positive terminal of the starter.

    There are two 17mm flare bolts on either end of the filter you should loosen before unbolting the filter. Also helps to crack the gas cap loose to relieve the pressure from the fuel tank so less fuel will spill.

  2. its probably so rusted  get a good flash light  follow

    the gas line it should be in about middle of the truck

    in clamp with 10mm bolt  to the frame,if you follow

    the gas line you will fine it!!!
