  1. The Camry, with its VVT-i engine, was already, um..., intelligent. And it would never do for Honda to be left behind, so the new Accord has an i-VTEC engine now.

As you would guess, the 'i' in both cases denotes intelligence. Variable Valve Timing - intelligent, for the Camry, and intelligent-Variable Valve Timing and lift Electronic Control, for the Accord.

  2. Cant go wrong with either one. Both great, quality cars that will last a while. But if it was me, i would lean a TINY bit towards the Toyota.

  3. I LOVE honda. I drive a civic and I'll never buy anything but a Honda! Go for the Accord; it's a great car. You won't regret it! I promise!

  4. definitely the Honda.  Toyota has had some build quality issues with the new Camry (Consumer Reports) which has gotten them dropped off the automatic recommend status from CR.

but if it were me, i'd also look at the Ford Fusion (higher reliability rating, surprise), the Chevy Malibu, especially with the 4cyl and 6spd auto as gas mileage is outstanding, or the Hyundai Sonata.  it is actually a top 3 pick by many magazines in this class, gets the highest fuel economy, has the best warranty, costs less and has more standard ammeneties than other cars in the class.

but, the #1 rated car in this class, for both 4 cyl and 6 cyl is the Nissan Altima.  buy it with the 6 and 6 spd and drive it like you stole it.

  5. I'm more of a Honda guy, but I think both are great cars. I suggest you drive them both and see what fits you best. You really can't go wrong with either car.

    Just forget about domestics...
