It's a used car so I don't know if this is the way it should go or not. When I turn the key in the ignition the engine starts but dies if I don't give it gas. Somebody told me that older cars dont have fuel injection or some other thing so I have to give it a lil gas when I start it. So I do this and when I start it it runs for a while with me steadily giving it gas not reving it too high and then it starts to stall so I give it more gas to save it and and up saving it 2 or 3 times in total. Is that normal? Should I let it die and try again? Rev the **** out of it when I start it up? Periodically rev it as I start it up? In all it takes about a min before I feel safe the car will not die on me as I drive away. The car works fine otherwise. So is this normal or am I doing something wrong here?
