The car has 8 bars on the fuel gauge on the last one it blinks, I'm wondering does it run out of gas when the last bar is blinking or when it disappears?

  1. There is no gas gauge on this planet that can read down to the last drop.

Gas lights are a notice that you are close to running out.

Most cars in general suggest you have about 1 gallon when the light comes on...or blinks...or whatever.

I guess a gallon could last you about 45 miles...or if you drive all crazy and shat then maybe 15 miles.

  2. When the bottom bar begins to blink, you have approximately one gallon of fuel left in the tank.  Time for a fill up when you notice it.

If bar disappears....you will be running on your two legs !!!!

  3. Means you are about out of gas, usually you have 5 to 10 more miles before complete out of gas.

  4. I have a 2008 and the last bar blinks when it's the only bar left.  When you get really low it will blink about twice as fast.  That's when you NEED to fill up. :P
