our little princess has a sort of log chew toy that has a walnut in the middle of it. she's supposed to chew it until she gets to the center. she really doesn't do that. she just pushes it around alittle bit and jumps around it. what toys do you suggest i get for her??

also, what kinds of treats do your piggies like??? mine seems to be very fussy. she REALLY likes grass from our lawn though!! we can't come in or leave the house without her squeaking for grass! lol its really cute. i just wish she would eat different treats. we tried to give her EVERYTHING.

  1. I use to have a bunny rabbit who loved the chicory weeds in the lawn.

Always got out of its cage and hop into and sit in the garden patch.

  2. Check my site out it has info on guinea pigs and other rodents

    http://sites.google.com/site/guineapigsf...

  3. My little balls of fuzz love carrots. My big boy likes to eat them whole, but my two girls like them cut up into bite-sized pieces. They also go nuts for lettuce - just about any kind; but keep in mind that iceberg lettuce is mostly just water and should be given sparingly( I don't like to feed them the salad mixes that come in bags simply because you have no idea how long it's been in there). They also like yogies(the ones that come in a white plastic container), crunchy biscuits, and occasionally treat mixes from the store.

Some other things they like to eat:

the tips of green or yellow beans ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/goodbyepisc... )

a little bit of red cabbage

spinach leaves - they're so succulent

    Dandelion leaves

    celery

    grapes

apples (most folks give them just the slices because the seeds can give them a tummyache)

    a slice of orange

    watermellon (seedless)

    cucumber

    Do not give:

    potatoes

tomatoes (they generally don't like them)

Any plants from your garden that you can't identify

peanuts (they are known to cause obesity; so I don't know if the walnut is good or not)

peppers (they usually don't like those either)

    onions

I've found that they like toilet paper tubes. My boy likes to throw them around.

If your girl is still finicky or is having trouble eating, have her teeth checked by your vet. My boy has molars that aren't lined up right and has to go in periodically to have them trimmed.

    There's more info at www.guinealynx.info

I think there's also a forum or a link to one if she's still being fussy.
