Trace my ancestors..come from a different country?

I want to trace my ancestors but im from Uruguay...Although my family migrated here to the USA i want to find out who my ancestors are? How could i do this?

As you know Uruguay is a country of European immigrants so where should i go/ or do?

    You could also ask and search at public "papers" and services that keep records of names and family records....
