  1. rice is carbohydrate(starch) and the digestion of carbo... starts in the mouth, in mouth starch is converted into maltose by the enzyme called AMYLASE.

the digestion of starch X takes place in the stomach. the hydrochloric acid found in it is responsible to break down protein and fats only.

the pancreas also produces enzyme amylase to be reacted on the Starch to be broken down into maltose.

as you know, our digestion is completed at the small intestine. therefore, the carbohydrate is broken down into simple sugars such as glucose and fructose.

after breaking down, the villus are responsible to absorb the simple sugars by the process called ASSIMILATION. the simple sugars are absorbed by this villus ( singgular) to be converted as energy and excess glucose are stored as glycogen in the liver.

Faeces are mainly composed of fibre not carbohydrate. WHY? coz vegetables are undigestible food and they are removed through faeces.
