Question:

Track Season ended: What should i do?

I just finished the track season, and was planning to train with some summer track program as soon as school finishes (in 2 weeks).

So should i rest and stop running for the 2 weeks? and if so, should i get any other specific exercises done, or like work on my core and upper body ('cos I'm pretty scrawny), or just take it easy?

Thank you in advance.

  1. i wouldn't stop entirely for 2 weeks.  You won't be at the same level of fitness you are now.  If you want, take a few days off, no more than 3 straight i'd say, then get back to running.

  2. You should be doing exercises especially abdominal and core work.

Run easy until the summer program starts.

  3. Either work on your running or do cross country if you are board. If not take a break
