Track- Training?

So I ran a mile yesterday, and I got my new record time. 7:57:13 Now my goal is to get to six minutes over the summer, and five minutes by the time track comes again. How much should I run each day to get up to that speed? Can I run on a treadmill with an incline, or would outside be better? (Im an 8th gradah)

  1. A really good exercise is to do bleacher, stair work. That will increase your speed. Try running long distances, so by the time you only have to run mile, you'll think it's a piece of cake and you'll be faster. I used to run cross country.
