Track and Rope climbing?

I'm going to the 9th grade and and planning on taking track and field and rope climbing. But when I run I take these really long steps "monster steps" and I just started running a lot like before I was too lazy to run and I didnt know what I was capable of so after I started playing dodge ball in the 8th grade I realized how fast I could run and even out ran a kid that I thought was faster than me I ran so fast that my feet was hitting my body each time they went up and I was able to run away from anyone that chased me without getting caught. Who think I could be the fastest runner if I join a track team. Is rope climbing easy.

  1. As with most things, excellence is made of two parts - one part is natural ability which you may have, the other part is hard work and dedication to perfecting your technique / skill.

I don't know much about running because that takes a lot of lung power - it is a very aerobic activity and I have asthma. Rope climbing requires whole body (expecially arms, shoulders and core) strength but not a lot of lung power.

    Good Luck

  2. You might want to ask this question over in the Running or track and field categories. You'll probably get a lot more responses there.

Rope climbing and rock climbing are not the same thing, great exercise and fun things to do, but still different.
