  1. To really drop your time, you have to do workouts at a faster pace. Once you get yourself in racing shape your mile time will drop by minutes. You'll be just fine after some training.

  2. you seem to be at a relatively heathy weigt

however, to get into "racing" shape

you could stand to loose a few pounds

    i am 5'10" and normaly about 140

but when i'm in serious racing schedules

    i usually drop to 135

becuse of the amount of calories i burn

    so.... don't diet or anything

    just eat healthy

and your body should reach the perfect weight on its own

    for girls

a 7:56 mile is good for an average person

but i have to be honest with you

its on the slower side for runners

a solid mile time is somewhere in the 6-7min range

and very good runners drop into low to mid 5s

for a beginner your very good

    and because of swimming

your breathing should not be your main issue

instead, you will need to build muscle

    because running uses your muscles

    differently from swimming

    however, with some work

and the dedication you seem to show

you should be able to drop time :-)

  3. dang thats pathetic if u dont decrease ur time by like 3 minutes ur gettin last at evry meet
