  1. Under 49 secs is needed to run D1 in college you would most likely have to be running 48 and below to get considered for a scholarship. It is really hard to get a full ride for just running. To get a full ride you not only need to be an amazing runner but you also have to have really good grades in school. I only got a 1/2 scholarship for college running the 400 hurdles and I was a B+ average student. 400 meter runners come in all shapes and sizes but on average they are usually about 6-0 and they have a more muscular build. The aren't as big as a 100 meter runner and they aren't as small as a distance runner. They are in between.

*hint*- Usually good 400 runners are good 800 runners and good 800 runners are good 400 runners. I had a person on my team that ran 47s in the 400 consistantly than my coach had him run the 800. he was running in the low 1:50s in the 800. After training for the 800 and than going back to the 400 he went back to the 400 in college and he got down to the low 46s and he was training for the olympic trials until he tore his hamstring. So training for the 800 got him through that stall in his times. Good luck

  2. im 5-10 130lbs running a 51, 52 and im not getting anything, so thats what ya gotta beat

  3. fastest 400m runner in the world is 6foot1 you would need to run under 50 secs for a full ride ship    body types are muscular

  4. run a 48, maybe, 47 probably, 46 you got it

  5. You need to run around a 50 sec in the 400m to have a chance at a DII or DIII school. DI schools look for below a 49 sec 400m to have any chance. They are air tight with scholarships.

It doesnt matter how tall you are, as long as you can run.

  6. well im 16 and i run 47.79 for the 400m...

but i live in New Zealand... so i dont really know much about scholarships from your country...

in my country i cn get a fullride to uni and all the things i need.
