Tracking an Imposter Myspace profile

I am an international recording artist who recently discovered that someone had set up an imposter profile using my stage name and my photo as their profile shot.

I have been trying to get MySpace to remove it now for over five months. They keep telling me to send them 'salutes', which I do. Salutes are pictures of you holding up a piece of paper with your friend ID, profile URL etc. They have now asked me for the same salute three times and variations of the salute 2 times including asking me to resend it holding up 3 fingers etc.

It takes usually up to 2 weeks to contact you back when you send them the salute and they just keep asking for variations of the salute. The process has been very frustrating and makes me wonder who is actually reading the support emails and if they are taking their job seriously. Meanwhile the imposter profile has been messaging people from my page and messaging me etc. I have forwarded these to MySpace and still they have not done anything.

They have one more chance to accept my latest salute otherwise I will have a lawyer draft an order to remove the imposter profile based on violation of trademark.

Now I realize that this is a free service but come on, this is ridiculous. It shouldn't be this hard to deal with imposters but it is so be warned all you MySpace users.
