yup. i tried it once last year - i believe it was during the martinsville chase race. i live in socal and the fires were burning all over the place, and all the local channels (including abc) were running fire coverage. they "moved" race coverage to a digital channel (7.3 or something), and it worked out fine for people with cable, but those of us with dish or directv were screwed. two of nascar's biggest sponsors and their customers couldn't see the race.

so i signed up for trackpass with a valid credit card number and watched the little virtual cars run around the track and listened to the drivers as well as the radio broadcast. problem was the virtual cars moved around like they were in stop-motion and they were delayed like 10 seconds behind the radio broadcast. i listened to the race through the end (i couldn't take the sight of a car running down low then "hopping" over another car into another lane).

i called the next day and cancelled. told them i didn't like the quality of the virtual car thing and i hated the delay. they said ok and i was never charged a thing.
