Question:

Trade Chad Johnson for Willis McGahee?

This intriguing trade just came my way. Yes, Ray Rice is strong and may take some carries. Yes, Willis just had surgery, but is expected to play week 1 just fine. I am leery of Johnson and put him on the trade block. Does this hurt my receiver situation too much? Opinions overall? Thanks!

  1. show your what are the starting slots

    i.e. how many wr's...

  2. Very solid team.

Since your league gives the same amount of points for both WR and RB stats, you should go with Chad Johnson.

McGahee had knee surgey this past offseason and is partially recovering. And he is getting older, so he has a higher injury risk.

Chad has a great QB throwing to him, and he has at least a little something to prove since asking for a trade this offseason. Prove he is a top WR. The only thing bad about Johnson is that TJ Housh will get a few more passes thrown his way, but Chad is a favorite in the red zone for his QB, Carson Palmer.

Besides, you don't really need McGahee. You have Westbrook (who gets more Recieveing yards than some middle tier WR's) Lewis (I am assuming Jamal) and a sleeper pick in M. Turner. Forte will also be a nice backup.

All signs from your team and your league's scoring point to you keeping Chad Johnson.

    Good luck!

  3. I would NOT do it...I drafted McGahee, and I am very nervous about him. Knee surgery is no joke, and besides I think your running back situation is fine.
