Trade Proposal - Good / Bad?

Question

Been offered this trade in standard Yahoo fantasy league - ten teams and we all put $200 in the kitty.

I get Drew Brees & Maurice Jones-Drew for Aaron Rodgers and Marion Barber.

My other backs are Thomas Jones, Ryan Grant & Kevin Smith

Brees is a stud Rodgers will have a tough year and might do OK but Brees will do much better.

Barber is better than Jones Drew, but the difference will prob be 4 points a game and Brees will get you more than a 4 point differential compared to rodgers.

Wait...were you gonig to start Rodgers? If so, absolutely take the trade, if you ahve another QB that's better you might not accept depending on who it is and how much better Brees might be.

I would take the offer. Brees is one of the top QB for fantasy and MJ Drew and M Barber is very closely ranked ( I have M Barber 7th overall and MJ Drew 14th) and I have Brees 21st overall ranked and Rodgers not ranked on my tope 100 fantasy players. It appears you have a pretty good RBs.

I think Marion Barber will have a great season this year but the gap between Barber and Jones-Drew is not as large as the one between Brees and Rogers.  Brees had a great year last year and now he has a great TE to get him out of jams.  Aaron Rogers is still unproven. At best he will have a decent season but I wouldn't expect Farve like numbers out of him. I would take the trade.

Unless your other QB is better than Brees I would take the deal.
