Trade Secret well prepared for d**k Peacock Sprint Handicap at Thirsk
Trade Secret is all set to unleash his secret potential in the d**k Peacock Sprint Handicap, to be held at Thirsk on Saturday, May 12th. According to the plan, the 6f contest will be started at 20:45 GMT.
The class 5 meeting has attracted more than a dozen entries. Among the confirmed participants are: Trade Secret, Bond Fastrac, Half A Crown, Jack Luey, Chosen Character, Northern Bolt, Secret City, Song Of Parkes, Iceblast,
Lizzie, Calypso Cay, Sea Salt and Another Citizen.
Trade Secret has been performing outstandingly since the beginning of this season. After a vacation of more than four months, the five-year-old made his seasonal debut last month.
He was runner-up in the PPR Foundation Handicap (Div II) at Ripon. After doing well on his return, the Mel Brittain-trained continued his good form and displayed an even better performance last time around.
The spectators at Thirsk saw him putting in a great effort in the totepool Mobile Text tote To 89660 Handicap at the start of this month. However, luck did not smile on him that day, as he missed the gold medal only by ½ a length.
With such a wonderful performance under his belt, the son of Trade Fair is full of confidence at the moment. Therefore, his rivals are going to find it difficult to challenge him.
Bond Fastrac was also impressive in his last appearance. In the Like Us On Facebook Wolverhampton Racecourse Handicap, Geoffrey Oldroyd’s trainee missed the crown only by a head’s distance. So, he needs just an extra effort
to claim the top place.
Half A Crown is another fascinating candidate. The seven-year-old recently made his comeback after staying out of action for more than five months.
Peter Salmon’s trainee showed a great performance in the Thomas Lord Handicap, grabbing the top spot by four and a half lengths. He is facing a bit tougher opposition this time around, but the last-time-out winner cannot be
ignored.
According to our calculations, there will be a hard clash among Trade Secret, Bond Fastrac and Half A Crown. Trade Secret needs just a slice of luck to notch up the top spot.
