I want to know if I should accept this trade.I am in a head to head league.

I would give Calvin Johnson & Willie Parker

I would get T.J.Houshmandzadeh and Selvin Young

I have J.Addai and F.Gore as my RBs and Brandon Marshall,Laveranues Coles,Jordy Nelson, and Devin Hester as my WRs(I admit my receiving core needs major help)

  1. That's a pretty solid trade, but comes with risks.

You get a great upgrade with Housh.  He's been better than the more hyped Chad Johnson.

Willie Parker broke his leg in December, but by all accounts will be fine.  He will however likely share carries with Rashard Mendenhall.

Statistically speaking, WRs don't fully blossom until year 3.  Johnson could be excellent, but his team is as bad as ever.

Young jumps to the top of Denver's depth chart, and he's bulked up to 212, which is still small for a feature back.  He'll face Ryan Torian, Michael Pittman and Andre Hall in fighting for the starting job.

Mike Shanahan is the Devil himself in fantasy circles.  Young has the best chance of being the starter, but that could change at a moments notice.

This is not a bad deal for you.  It's quite risky, but I would be inclined to take a risk.  I think Mendenhall could really dent Parker's overall production.

  2. Pretty good, but try to get WR

  3. yes exsept it its a good trade

  4. Nooooooooooo, Calvin Johnson is a "ace" wide out and WIllie is a yardage back. Gore has ?'s because of that offense and you might end up depending on another RB (Parker).  Calvin is going to be be the #1 in a passing game O.  Good Luck.

  5. Pretty even trade.  Will Young start in Den. or will Shanahan go w/ another no-namer last minute again?

  6. If you are basing your decision off last season, TJ would be a good step up from Calvin Johnson. However, now that Johnson has had a full NFL year, look for him to emerge as a top-tier WR this season. Many people have already forgotten that this guy was the #2 overall pick (should have been #1) just last year and is an absolute freak of nature athlete. Willie Parker is still Pittsburgh's top RB, however with Najeh Davenport gone, look to see Rashard Mendenhall take goal-line looks away from Parker. On the other hand, who knows who will be starting in Denver when the season begins. Selvin Young is definitely their better running back, but you never know who it will be considering the addition of Pittman and Torain. Also don't forget about Andre Hall. He's listed as their KR right now, but he definitely showed his running ability last year in week 11 and 12. Week 11 he rushed for 89 yards on just 7 carries and in week 12 he exploded for 98 yards on 26 carries, 1 TD and 2 catches for 69 yards. Considering he did all of that after severely spraining his ankle on the very first play of the game shows that this guy definitely has potential. I would have to reject this trade, based on Johnson's tremendous upside and the fact that Young may not even be the starter when the season begins...
