Traditional Bridal Shower Gifts?

Bridal Shower, not Bachelorette Party I always thought gifts like dirty underwear were more bachelorette themed, but now I am not so sure. 10 points to best answer

I would say give linens; towels, sheets; something that you can use. Not something that will sit there for the next 20 years and you never open it.  Or you can do a gift basket; with a bottle of wine or champagne; either wine or champagne glasses and a gift certificate to a nice restaurant or a take out restaurant for a quite evening at home for the bride and groom.

really nice bath supplies, so she can have an excuse to take a relaxing bath. Underwear is still good if you want laughs.

Depends on the theme of the party. A friend of mine got married and she already had everything for her house, so her maid of honor had a lingerie themed party.

Yes; you keep the "naughty" themed stuff for the bachelorette's party. Traditionally, couples register somewhere (like bad, Bath and Beyond) where they pick out exactly what they want. The gift-givers go to the store and print a list of what the couple wanted and buy it! Mostly house-hold items like pot and pans or linens.

Edit: Unless the couple has everything already like a previous poster said. The lingerie party theme is a really cute idea!

It's still traditional to give gifts of kitchenware or linens at a bridal shower. Tasteful lingerie is also given.

Nowadays, it really depends on who's going to be at the shower. If everyone's comfortable with naughty gifts being at the shower, so be it.
