Traditional Japanese stories?

Question

Okay, I need a traditional Japanese story with at least 4 characters. =)

Please tell me some stories.

(If you can give me a summary, that would help as well because other wise I'll have to look it up)

"Momotaro" is a good one and the most famous one.  Main characters are Momotaro (a boy/hero), grandmother, grandfather, and three followers (dog, monkey, and pheasant) who help Momotaro fight the demons.

ok im sorry but i dont remember the name....i think its 1,000 cranes. but its about a japanese girl whos village is full of the nuclear bomb fumes and is filling her system to where she eventually has to be hospitalized. the nurse tells her that if she makes 1000 cranes shell get a wish. she died when she reached like 800 and something. her skool and family finished the cranes for her and made a monument. the longer version has more characters.
