Is there any way to make one unique? I'm aware of the recipe where you add bananas... unfortunately, bananas make me sick. Are there any other variations of this childhood classic?

  1. Try honey.  It's naturally sweet, unlike most fruit spreads, which use artificial sweeteners and preservatives like high fructose corn syrup.

A lot of people like fluffernutters - peanut butter and marshmallow fluff (in the jar).

I've tried Nutella and peanut butter.  It's a chocolate-hazelnut spread, and it's DELICIOUS!  Having the two on a sandwich is almost like a Reese's peanut butter cup sandwich.

When I was a kid I used to eat peanut butter and cheese sandwiches.  At the time I ate American cheese, but if I did it now, I'd use Cheddar.

  2. Add some maple syrup. I got addicted to them a couple years ago and was eating 8 a day! It's delicious.

  3. add cheese.  or grilled.  or pita bread.  or tortilla roll ups, (my kids likes this). or  cut up into a salad maybe??  or  fried, though I have not tried it.

  4. Try Marsh mellow cream. I advise using a spoon to get it out of the jar. You did mention bananas. That sounds like the Elvis. He did deep fry that, didn't he?

  5. try pears and peanut butter.

    good stuff.

  6. add pretzels.. YUM
