Is it the bride's parents or the groom's parents? Or does the couple-to-be pay for their own wedding? I know that the koumbaro pays for a lot of the stuff...but who pays for the wedding itself and the HUGE reception that all Greeks have??

  1. Greek People!!

  2. with todays costs...include bride and groom and both sets of parents

  3. The groom's family covers the rehersal dinner and the alcohol.  They also pay for the clothing the groom will wear and sometimes the license.

The bride's family pays for everything else.

Keep in mind that this is only TRADITIONS.  To be honest the majority of couples are paying it all on their own these days with a small amount of help from the parents.  If your family offers to pay then by all means you can accept but you should never EXPECT them to or pressure them into doing so.

  4. My father!
