In your email to my friend you said that nobody cares about Macedonia. If you really study the Greeks you will found out that we care.

Answer: Not many Greeks eat our traditional food as much as in the past. Our original cuisine didn't have so much meat. I can't answer all the rest, it's too much. Find a book about it.

One thing to note -- in mother Greece, somebody who is from Sparta is not a Spartan. The name is reserved for the epic heroes and some Greeks take offense if you refer to someone from Sparta as a "Spartan", as illustrated in Paul Cartledge's book "Thermopylae: the Battle that Changed the World". :)

Traditions vary fromplace to place - In Epirus they still follow most of the 'rules' - but they are too numerous to write down - I'd have to take each subject seperately ... PS you forgot BAPTISM - but on my way to work (and cooking lunch before I leave .. and it's 7am!!!)
