Traffic Ticket- california

I have a traffic ticket of which I am contesting. (California)

my court date has been set- and the judge is a man I know very well

any idea what will happen? will it get excused? or will i be assigned a different date??

  1. What will happen depends to a good degree on you! You can get well prepared and make your case clear in court. Also, it may be easier to get your ticket dismissed on a technicality. Study the court rules. Detailed advice on what to do in court on the annoying ticket blog spot below.

  3. It depends on him. If you know him very well then you'll know if he's the type of person that will let his personal relationship get in the way with his profession. Is he a compassionate person towards you? Does he have a soft heart? Personally, I think the fact that you know him won't help your case in terms of dropping the ticket (unless you have a really good case). I can imagine the only thing he can do is lower the fine, or expunge that violation from your DMV record (which I doubt).
