ok so i am 18 years old and my 17 year old sister was driving one day we were heading home. As we were driving the car in front of us moves to the side real quick exposing a car sitting in the middle of the street with no gas and no emergency lights on. my sister ran into this car giving minimal damage to our car but plenty to the other persons car. Both this other person and i agreed to not dealing with the insurance or police and we would take care of this on the side "me thinking since it was mostly his fault since he had no gas and in the middle of the street" "but we dident have insurance at the time"... well we did and the guy ended up wanting more money and so on.... i told him he could take us to court which today i cop tried dropping something of "guessing a court appearance" so basically my question is what is the worst case scenario, my sister which was driving 17 years and only has her permits and could I be at fault as well ....

  1. Is ur fault all the way !!!! 1- No insurance, 2- any1 that hit from behind loses their case. U played, now u pay !!!! Sorry..but rules r rules dudette.

  2. You shouldn't have played stupid and NOT called the cops, now you both are going to be held accountable... You, your sister... and come to think of it, half the other guy...

Considering though you didn't call the cops and the insurance and stuff, you'll likely be held more accountable then him. ((When neither of you want to involve the cops or the insurance company... YOU BOTH LIKELY HAVE NO INSURANCE... STUPID FOR DRIVERS LIKE ME WHO DO PAY OUR HARD EARNED MONEY FOR IT AND GET HIT BY NO INSURANCE PEOPLE LIKE YOU TWO << that guy and your sister and you>> ))

Depending on your sister permit ((Instructional or 6 month probation permit)) you could be also held accountable...

    You should have insurance now...

  3. Suspended license, heavy fines, high insurance rates and alot of community service plus paying for the damages.

  4. it is not your fault if the guy was not using his hazards buts its going to be hard to prove it and i really dont think he will admit he didnt put his hazards on

worst case you'll have to pay for the damage to his car
