Can a single, unmarried, never been married before man with no kids who has had some speeding tickets in his life (80 in 55 or 65MPH zone) still have auto insurance?

  1. Yes.  Depending on where you live, there should be multiple carriers to help you out.  

    1-4 speeding tickets is typically the acceptable range, but that is in balance with your claims history.  If you have more than that, look for higher risk insurance.  Such as Progressive~Safe Auto~General.

    If you are on the lower scale of that, check out GEICO, Allstate, State Farm......they are typically priced better for better drivers

    You can get auto insurance even if you've had DUI's!!  (It just gets more and more expensive insurance, the more infractions you have)

  3. Yes he can, if the tickets are recent he will have high insurance rates.

    But, if he's single, not paying alimony or child support and never has paid these items,. or bills to raise children; then he can probably afford the higher rates.

  4. What does marital status and number of children have to do with the right to buy auto insurance?

  5. Yes.  The single, unmarried, never been married, no kids part is completely irrelevant.  

    He'll just pay more, for a major moving violation.
