Traffic wardens. They cant get their tickets slapped on quick enough. Like or dislike?

They aren't traffic wardens, they're purely concerned with parking.

The old "yellow peril" traffic wardens were run by the police and their principle aim was to keep the traffic moving.  Often they'd achieve that aim by getting you to move rather than issue a ticket.

This lot are employees of companies solely in business to make money from the motorist.

Very sore point with me the at moment this subject

Went to Blackpool last year and we arrived 20 minutes before the car parking ticket expired, only to get home 6 weeks later and have a non payment of ticket charge. Now they are trying to charge me £143.00 for non payment have written and phoned

They say they have a picture of our car with no ticket, We drove half way back to Birmingham with it on the windscreen.

Now they threatening to take my car. I hate these b******s. Don't know what to do now.

Total dislike they seem like they were born into the job, come across some right cases, has anyone noticed-UK- that they all seem to be from Africa? Have i missed something?

I have nothing against traffic wardens. They are driven by pressure to issue tickets by those above them. Blame the system that pays on the number of tickets issued not the poor sole who is forced to issue them.

Have you noticed that when traffic wardens were paid a set salary they used more discretion than the do now they are paid by the ticket? The system needs fixng, bring back common sence, take the profit element out of our justice system!

I have nothing against them because unlike the majority of t**ts answering this question I don't park illegally.  How can you all moan, you know you run the risk of getting a ticket if you park illegally so don't do it in the first place then you won't have a reason to hate someone who is just doing their job.  You'd be the first to complain if you couldn't get to where to you wanted because illegally parked cars were blocking the roads!

Do i have any sympathy for them? Absolutely not.

I dont hate them because they are doing a job and they dont get bonuses. If they are respectful to me i am the same with them, you cant just dislike them because they are traffic wardens thats stupid.

They used to be semi decent when the police ran them, now the councils have them and there are bonuses for good workers it has turned into a money making scheme.

The bottom line is don't park where they can give you a ticket.

For the amount of revenue they bring in it cannot surely be a badly paid job,  must be a phenomal salary.

Bet its s**te really...surely 40k plus ( as a measure to the amount that must collerate plus the insults)

They are basically in the world of high finance, councils need them.

I always write in with some excuse ....3 times sometimes ...never paid yet.
