There is no puss and its not even red but all of a sudden last night I woke up from a nap and it was sore and a bit swollen. I Just got it 3 days ago (Friday night) and I have been amazed so far that it never burned, hurt, got swollen, or had the crusties like he said it would till now. Is this just a delayed reaction to its healing or what? I guess the only reason it is concerning me is because it had nothing for the past 2/3 days till last night. Its barable I just hope its not an indication that it is infected.

I have been cleaning it mostly just 2 times a day.. yesterday I barely touched it a few times to try and cratch an itch. I was very careful but my hands werent freshly washed. I hope I didnt cause anything. I barely touched and not around the punctures.

  1. Hi,I have both of my traguses pierced and healing can take around one month. Yours are still really new so (unfortunately) there will be a lot of pain and goo for the next little while.

For me, I found that they would get irritated when I'd sleep on them (try sleeping on your back or if the other one is not pierced then sleep on that side of your face). Wash your pillowcase as well. There are lots of old dead skin cells and microscopic dust that can sneak into the piercing.

Mine also acted up if I had my phone up against them for a while (phone earpieces surprisingly do have germs and you should wipe it down with an anitbacterial wipe if you are going to be having your phone up against the piercing).

At one point, one of my traguses even turned black! I thought it would shrivel up and die! But if you maintain a consistent cleaning schedule, you'll be ok. It's just like getting your earlobe pierced, those take forever to heal as well.

  2. don'y worry, its normal. i was so impressed that mine didn't hurt or burn even after it was done, the pain you're feeling is just the body trying to heal around the ring, you're doing a great job so far, just watch out for keloids.  i got one on the back of my tragus so i got this tea tree oil stuff and the keloid dryed out and came right off.

  3. when i got mine done nothing happened for about a week and then it got all red and swollen. i hadnt been cleaning it like they said bc i ddnt have the stuff to clean it and thought that i would be ok bc i have other peircings that i ddnt clean and they were fine.

well i ddnt want to ruin my tragus piercing so i started cleaning it twice a day: first with peroxide on a q-tip and then alcohol on another q-tip, after about a week it healed up nicely and now it is beautiful.

i would just say clean it like i did and make sure to turn the ring and if it doesnt look any better in about a week then maybe your body is rejecting it. then you should take it out.
