Trail Blaze expected to prevail in Y.P.O. Pennine Best of Britain Handicap
Trail Blaze has the best chances of winning the Y.P.O. Pennine Best of Britain Handicap at Haydock in England on Thursday, June 14, 2012. A cash prize of £7,116 has been set for the winner of the class-3 race.
The going will be good in the 1 mile race, which is scheduled to start at 20:20 GMT. A total of eight runners will be seen in action and their names are as follows: Lelaps, Farang Kondiew, Trail Blaze, Dance The Rain, Verse Of Love, Border Revia, Deepsand
and Gabrial´s Gift.
There were nine runners lined up for action in the race, but Masters Blazing’s name has been withdrawn. He was not in good form, but had the potential of winning today.
However, looking at the current form of Trail Blaze, it appears that no one will be able to match him in the race today. He has got a very good stamina, which will help him dominate proceedings at Haydock.
The three-year-old colt has taken part in six races overall and has been impressive on most of the times. His record will certainly encourage the punters to place a lot of bets in his favour.
Trail Blaze has won a couple of races in his career whereas finished runner up on three occasions, which means that he only dropped out of the top three once.
Importantly, the Kevin Ryan’s trainee had performed brilliantly in his most recent race, as he finished first in it. He was not the favourite to win back then, but did not disappoint his team. A similar run would definitely ensure another victory for
him today.
The favourite runner will be ridden by Amy Ryan, who has won quite a few races at this level. However, his strike rate is poor, which will discourage the punters from risking money on him. He will gain a lot of confidence, if he manages to win the
race at Haydock.
Despite Trail Blaze’s good record, the bookies have given pretty decent odds to Lelaps. He has taken part in four events until now, winning none of them. However, he has taken the runner up spot once whereas secured the third place on a couple of occasions.
