Trail Blaze likely to stand first in Bowl Handicap
Trail Blaze looks to be quite confident to clinch first position in the Betfred Silver Bowl Handicap that will be held today, May 26 at Haydock. The Class 2 contest is scheduled to start at 2:30 (GMT).
On the good to firm track of 1 mile, the Kevin Ryan-trained bay colt will show his guts against 16 runners such as Lord Ofthe Shadows, Hazaz, Switzerland, Tidentime, Archbishop, Abishena, Gabrial, Apostle, Frog Hollow, Chapter Seven, Mabaany, Grey Mirage,
Forest Row, Wise Venture, Lucky Henry and Nemushka.
Pursuing the prize money worth £37,350, the maverick runner will show a rock-solid performance that none of his competitors can be able to outstrip.
The three-year-old novice colt is on a hat-trick at the moment. He excellently accomplished a mega triumph each on April 25 and May 12. For the Friday Maiden Stakes, he had been a 5-4 favourite.
Prior to this, the brilliant sprinter had gained three consecutive runner-up ranks during August-September 2011. He started his career with a 5th position on July 16.
Thus, the talented son of Tagula out of Kingpin Delight has been an impressive performer since his very first start. He is expected to make a big impact today, having more than 95 percent chances to finish first.
However, Grey Mirage has enough potential to wrest success from Trail Blaze. The Marco Botti-trained bay colt is also on a hat-trick. Starting his career with a 5th position on October 5, 2011, he stepped ahead to finish 6th in the
very next outing. The rookie runner nicely grabbed top spot in each of his last two starts during March-April, 2012.
There is likely to be a tough tug of war between Trail Blaze and Grey Mirage. Let us see who manages to lift the ace title.
Gabrial is also likely to do well in the race. Debuting in May 2011, the Richard Fahey-trained bay colt finished first in each of his first two races. He elegantly grabbed a runner-up rank in his last start on May 10, 2012.
Thus, there is likely to be a rip-roaring clash in the race. Let us enjoy the fabulous action. Good luck to all the runners.
