Trail Blaze to retain composure for the William Hill Supporting Dumfries House Ayrshire Handicap
One of the strongest entries for the Class 2 William Hill Supporting Dumfries House Ayrshire Handicap is the three-year-old bay colt, Trail Blaze. He has the potential of bagging the £12,450 prize money on Friday, 21st September, 2012 at Ayr over a mile. Eight three-year-old and above runners have registered for invading the race track today.
The Irish bay colt has raced eight times during the current season and has won at five occasions. Even when he did not end up in the winners’ enclosure, the three-year-old ended as the runner-up and once as the third position holder.
After bagging the first two outings of the season, the Irish bay colt missed the Y. P. O. Pennine Best Of Britain Handicap on 14th June, 2012 at Haydock over a mile.
The Kevin Ryan trained broke strongly and gained prominence in the initial stages of the race, over threw the challenge inside the final furlong however, held back the reigns just near the home. The holding back of pace cost Trail Blaze to miss the race by the mark of ¾ of a length.
The race was won by the favourite entry, Farang Kondiew.
A third place at York, and then the Mr. & Mrs. Julian And Rosie Richer owned won the Live In-Play Betting At Betvictor.com Handicap on 31st July, 2012 at Ayr over seven furlongs.
Riding with Graham Lee, the winner landed the race by the margin of just half-length.
Trail Blaze’s approach right from the beginning of the race was impressive and grew further aggressive near the line.
He will once again race with jockey, Amy Ryan.
The Edmond Kent bred had his most recent success in the Personal Touches Diamond Handicap on 8th September, 2012 at Thirsk over a mile. The good surface aided his smooth trip over the track distance. He switched right by the time there remained the final furlong, and won by the margin of just half-length defeating Mabaany.
Breaking from the seventh gate in the field of eight contestants will give Trail Blaze enough room to cover ground, he will need to keep check on the thundering competition as the line-up is quite experienced.
