And this other question is mainly for girls. Ok im going to wear a reguler bra, and a sports bra ontop of that. When ever i trot with my girl it always hurts, but not like kill me now bad. But do you think that will stop if i were all that?

  1. Wear jeans, Tshirt or long sleeved T depending on the weather and boots. Remember to keep your horses nose out of the others butt. Take some water for yourself and flyspray the horse. Hats are a pain they get knocked off. I have the same problem with my bras. I bought a sports bra made for riding and it still didnt help. Remember to ride slow you should never run on the trail. Just have a good time!

  2. Well my first question, is whether you're going to use a saddle. If you're riding with a saddle I definitely wouldn't wear shorts. If you're going bareback there's nothing wrong with wearing shorts, but I would advise not wearing flip flops. You should wear sneakers at least, and if you're riding with a saddle you should wear boots with a heel. It really doesn't matter what kind of shirt you wear.

If your horse has never been on a trail ride before you can't really predict what kind of behavior he'll display, so to be on the safe side it's probably a good idea to use a saddle, and wear pants and boots, and a helmet as well. He'll probably be seeing a lot of scary things for the first time.

In terms of the bra question, I don't really have a huge probably with that, one sports bra usually does it for me. However I have some friends who have the same problem as you, and most of them tend to wear two sports bras layered, that cuts down on the bounce pretty well. Cant guarantee that it's gonna stop it totally, but it will help.

Have fun on your first trail ride!

  3. just wear tenni shoes to protect your feet this time you dont know for sure were your going or have to go in...and besides that you can wear anything you want...nothing really required for a trail ride

  4. If this is a small group that is going and it is your first trail ride you will no doubt be supervised and coached when and if you have problems with your horse or otherwise.  Jeans, T shirt and good footwear, not flip flops.  If you have questions about etiquette then ask, You do not say if you are taking your own horse but if they are lending you a horse I am sure that you will have a quiet one for your first time out.  Just loosen up and have fun, that is what trail riding is all about.

I have been trail riding for many many years, and I am quite well endowed and have never had a problem in the bra department (well ok once when there was a nest of wasps that attacked my horse and he jumped and I caught the bra on the horn of the saddle and it broke and the girls got loose and it was sure a mess)  but that was a freak thing, only happened once.  Just wear a good support bra.  If you have a particular problem well then you will have to test different things.  I find that the sport bras give no support at all, but that is just  me.  Have fun.

  5. well you should where tennis shoes and some pants. well you should were just the sport bra if it doesn't bother you. If it dose go to http://www.supports4less.com  go and look at the mcdavid bras they are really nice and they don't let then bounce.

  6. i remember trail riding once at the apple orchard with jack, lainey and mom. lainey's horse was a drama queen (think mysti....) and always liked to ride in front. well my horse was a bit of a rebel and tried to get in front but lainey's horse kicked mine and my horse nipped lainey's horse but ended up bruising her leg. the moral: pay attention to your horses and what they're telling you. ride single file and try to keep it in the same order unless you're really fast and the bozo in front is inching along.

as far as a bra goes, i'd say, bra, sport-bra, cami-with-a-bra. if u need one we're the same size, so gimme a call. then a t shirt that is, like, fitted and a sweatshirt. plus a hat (my hair was a mess!)

have fun out there buddie :) i'll call ya next time i'm off work and maybe we can go ridin ;)

  7. Trail rides are fun, it's pretty much a day of riding and not worrying about everything. Just a day to get out on your horse. Although you might want to wear jeans and boots, rather then shorts and flip flops. You should actually never wear sandles/flip flops when you ride. I have broke my ankle many times wearing them, if something happens and you fall off it's easier to twist and shatter your ankle

As for a bra, you should be good wearing those.

  8. Ok, on a trail ride, stay on the trail and keep your horses one in front of the other, never pass the horse in front of you unless the person says so. I would wear riding boots a t-shirt or long sleeve, and jeans, maybe some gloves so that your hands don't get cold (only if it is cold out). Wear a sports bra that should help, if it hurts with a sports bra then  regular on might be ok, or wear a cami- tank with a built in bra, that helps tremendously!

  9. definately wear closed toed shoes, no flipflops!  if you are riding in an area where sometimes people hunt, i would suggest a brightly colored shirt.  also, i don't care how good you are, you need a helmet!  horses are unpredictable and even the best get spooked, expecially out on trails.  and keep a cell phone with you in case you need to call for help.  as for your horse, normal tack will do but pack a halter so that you can stop and tie your horse up if you want to take a break.  also, take first aid stuff for your horse cuz it's very easy for them to cut up on trails.

as for your girl question, i really can't answer that considering my unfortunate lack of b***s!  lol!

    good luck!

  10. It depends on how safe you want to be.... Honestly you could wear anything however I would definitely recommend wearing pants and above all some kind of shoe with a heel. If it is a long trail ride and you are riding in a saddle then I would rule out wearing shorts because that will get extremely uncomfortable. I would say that a sports bra or a tank top with the bra made with it would be perfect.

Have fun on your trail ride!!!!

  11. You should never ride a horse without proper footwear, which means something with a heel. I would say flip  flops should not be worn riding horses.

The reason is that if for some reason you came off the saddle and your foot was in the stirrup, it could get stuck and the horse might end up dragging you. That is why cowboy boots have heels.

You could also get your foot stuck in the stirrup on the trail if for some reason you had to dismount, and then you mounted your horse again and he bolted before you got on. Not trying to scare you but it does happen.

I would also wear jeans and a t-shirt.

All that stuff about riding in a row sounds like a riding stable. Most people I've been on trail rides with their own horses just ride!

  12. Wear jeans, a t-shirt, and hard-soled shoes preferably with a steel tip.  You should also wear a helmet.  Any trail rides i've ever been on have been predominantly walking.
