Question:

Trailer tires - how much air?

I have a pop up tent trailer with a single axle. It's not huge or terribly heavy. The little tires say 80 pounds of air, but I know that's too much since I kept that much in them for a year and wore the tires out due to overinflation. So how much should really be in there?

  1. 35 to 40 psi and then look at the tire from the side and you should have about three inches on the bottom that is on the road, that way you will know that you have the correct amount.

  2. 40
