Question:

Trailer wheels?

Looking for a source to get some wheels for a boat trailer. The trailer is an old boat trailer and has just a spindle with wheels that are attached by bearings and a large nut to hold them on. The wheel rims have over the years rusted and need to be replaced. Any clues on where to get these wheels and tires?

  1. Visit your local marine dealer or stores like West Marine or Boaters World.  You may want to look at those bearings too, they may need replacement.  Bearing failure is a big reason you see boat trailers broke down, as they lock up when the get too hot.

If you are going to use the trailer any amount you may want to think about a complete hub replacement.
