Train Costs?

How much would it cost on a train, from london to cardiff, both ways. I just checked on the site, it tells me £27 (total) departs on a fri. just seems too cheap. Does anybody have an idea, or has been on this route before. Thank you.

To travel this Friday coming (8th February) a Saver return will cost £57, but by travelling on the 12.15 from Paddington and returning on the 20.25 from Cardiff you could do it for as little as £11.50 each  way, or £4 cheaper than you have been quoted! There are a lot of cheap offers out there if you are prepared to look and be flexible as regards the time you want to travel. By paying £21 or £24 each way the number of trains available to you increases quite significantly.
