Train conductor assistant?

Is train conductor assistant a good job? Can anyone give me any information about the job? Pay?

assistant conductor (brakeman(brakeperson)) is the some job just differant names. -- pay great as of work hrs the sh*ts always on call never knowing when you go to work or for how long. if you work the yards you know when you go to work but the pay is about half that is the price for having some type of life. as for pay in the U.S. not sure in Canada you can make 100,000 per yr in road service
