  1. what do you mean by CB6, community board 6? if so that encompasses a few areas and you'll need to be more specific?

edit:  OK, take the E train heading to Queens(not Brooklyn this part of bklyn is right at the queens border) 7 stops to Queensplaza.   Transfer to the G( in the direction of Brooklyn/ Smith/9th street)  3 stops to Greenpoint Avenue (exit near intersection of Greenpoint and Manhattan Avenue.  The club is right there.    You can get the exact train schedules at this site: http://tripplanner.mta.info/

put in the times you are traveling and you can really see how long it will take (abt. 40 min.) and when the trains are expected to arrive... Have fun

  2. If you are meeting someone who told you they live in CB6, don't go!

CB6 may sound legitimate, but it is to broad. Expect to meet her friends - big ugly guys, who want your money.

  3. Go to Penn via Amtrak and take the subway from there - the subway is no big deal - you'll be fine.

  4. Take Amtrak (www.amtrak.com) from Boston's South Station (or Back Bay or Route 128, if one of those happens to be closer to home) to New York Penn Station.  Then you'll need to take a subway from the Penn Station/34th Street area to Brooklyn.  Can't tell you which train or how far, without knowing where you want to go in the large borough of Brooklyn.  Maybe someone on here will immediately understand what you mean by "CB6," but I don't.
