Train from London to Sheffield?

My friend is coming over to england next month from Spain and is staying in London (i am not sure where abouts yet) but he wants to visit me in Sheffield. So please can anyone tell me how long the train journey would take from London to Sheffield and roughly how much it would cost? also any websites you could give me about this train would be useful please.

  5. www.thetrainline.com is a website that will give you prices and train times, it takes about 2.5 hours from london to sheffield, prices start from about 7 each way if you book in advance..

  6. The train service runs from St Pancras station and is operated by Midland Mainline. The journey takes about 2 hours.

  8. Well she would get a Midland Mainline that should take around 2.5 hours from London St Pancras but if I were you I would go onto www.midlandmainline.co.uk or www.nationalrail.co.uk both should be ok. I hope this helps
