Train from Stamford, CT to NYC

I am traveling with family to Stamford, CT but would like to go into NYC. Can I take a train and if so how long would it take and how much would it cost? Thanks

  1. Yep.  You can take the Metro North commuter train from Stamford right to Grand Central Terminal, smack in the middle of Manhattan.

  2. My friend, from Stamford, CT, you can take Metro-North's New Haven Line to Grand Central Terminal. The trip from Stamford takes about 90 minutes.

  3. Ticket is only one type since Connecticut Department of Transportation set price for MTA Metro-North in Connecticut.

    There are no off-peak or peak ticket. Just only ticket.

    MTA Metro-North take you NYC at Harlem-125th St/Grand Central.
