Train lines into Nevers (France)...?

Can anyone tell me from which main towns, or anywhere, can I get a train into the station at Nevers in the départment of Nièvre? Or where do the lines out of the station run to? I know you can catch a train from Gare de Lyon in Paris but I need an earlier train. I hope somebody can help!

  1. Hope you are going to the Grand Prix :-)

Trains arrive at the Nevers Station from Paris, Lyon and Dijon. Trains arrive at the Saincaize Station (9km from the circuit) from d'Angers, Tours, Le Mans, Clermont-Ferrand, etc.

  2. What do you want to do in Nevers ? What a strange idea for a traveler!

  3. As far as I know... (I used to go there on holidays), you can go there from Bourges, Saincaize, Châteauroux, Vierzon, Poitiers... I could more help if you told me where you are, so I could tell you which towns close to your location have a train line to Nevers. But in any case, if you just want to make sure whether there is a line between Nevers and X town, you can use the sncf website :
