Train or plane to Avignon or Aix en Provence?

What is the best way to get from Paris to Avignon or Aix en Provence? Train? Plane? Thanks!

Train makes the most sense. From Paris to Avignon there are several trains a day that make the trip in in 2 1/2 - 3 hours. The cost can be as little as 50 euros depending on what train you take.

Given the time it takes to get thru airport security these days there's no point in flying.
