  1. most likely if you were looking at outdoor tracks what you saw was deer remains being cleaned away, they are hit in north America very often by both car and train as they have a instinct to freeze in place sometimes to disorient the movement based vision of predators.

the trains are not fooled -.-

  2. When I grew up in Japan, I remember it would happen quite often.

  3. I really don't know, being an engineer I have heard of it happening far too often.

It happened to me . . . . . . trust me it is not an image you can get out of your head easily.

The guy was stopped in his car, and at the last minute pulled onto the tracks and stopped, it was messy, that's all I am going to say.

  4. Happens all the time in the UK.

  5. guy near my house park his truck on the tracks and commited suicide

  6. I saw it happen in the UK this guy just stepped right out as the train came - real horror show! Everyone ran away and some were sick but I went and had a look out of curiosity and if it wasn't for the head and a few limbs you wouldn't have known it was human. More annoyingly it meant that I missed my train and therefore missed my plane why can't people be more considerate and kill themselves in more efficient and original ways.

  7. It happens way to often. The people that do it have no idea of the impact(no pun intended) they are making on the lives of the crew on the train. It's the stuff nightmares are made of.I had a fellow engineer that had to quit after one.The kid pulled onto the tracks and stopped. His buddy with him said he threw the keys out the window and told him he better get out because that was as far as he was going. It was...he died right there.Turns out he was the son of a prominent ranching family in the area that happened to be good friends of the engineer on the train that hit him. That engineer never worked again.Very sad.

  8. It happens quite a lot, fortunately, the news media, unless it is very horrific, will not publish or air reports about train suicides or even bridge jumpers. It is believed this would encourage others. Some major cities have struggled for years how to prevent the subway suicides, but they all involve some sort of barrier which would slow up the process of moving people and are considered a big headache in case of an emergency and people have to be evacuated quickly.

  9. Some people who thinks that this life is hopeless would commit suicide in such ways.THo train suicide doesn't really happened often.

Some people would think that killing theirselves by standing on the tracks waiting for a train to hit them would cause them no pain.Maybe its the period of time that they get to wait before they died ? People are not the same, they have their own thoughts and ways of thinking. They killed themselves by somekind of different ways as in making their final move.

  10. i have seen it twice now in the last three months, with the most recent happening on Monday. It's a horrible thing to see, and a terrible thing to put on the conscience of another person. Please stay off the tracks.

  11. Its really not uncommon. Its a fast and easy way to die. it happens with subways a lot too. A lot of buisiness for the cleanup companies for this type of stuff comes from cleaning trains and subway cars.

  12. Suicide takes place in this world everytime. Maybe 1000 suicides per second ....

    but not Train ....
