Train ticket in uk?

if i buy a ticket to Brighton but stop of in central London , would that be allowed or do i need to get a ticket for both London and Brighton.

i plan on going shopping in the morning and then go to Brighton for a few hours in the after noon.

How do i get a ticket that would allow me to do this?

  1. No reason why you should not do this. I assume you are coming from outside  London which will require you to change trains and travel to Victoria to catch your Brighton train. No one will time how long you take.


  2. sorry to disappoint ya but I'm afraid that you prolly will need to purchase 2 tickets one for each separate part of the journey.

    sorry but the transport system here is expensive and screwed up in its organization..

  3. You can buy a ticket to your furthest destination station aslong as

    A. Your ticket allows a break of journey

    B. Your train calls through where you want to get off (first destination) on the way to your furthest destination.
