  1. Danbury, Ct to Islen, NJ?  Wow - that is quite a trip.

    From Danbury:

Via Metro-North (New Haven Line) to Grand Central

Travel time:    approximately 2 hours 4 minutes

Cost (one way)  $14.25  (note:  buy your ticket BEFORE you get on the train.  Buy the ticket on the train will incur a penalty bringing the cost to $19.00).

    From Grand Central:

    NY City Subway   Cost  $2.00

42nd St Shuttle (S line) to Times Square  (1 minute)

At Times Sqaure transfer to the 1, 2 or 3 train (numbers in red circles) downtown one stop to 34th St-Penn Station. (1.5 minutes) .  Allow a total of 5-6 minutes for the subway to allow for walking to the subway and waiting for the various trains.

    At 34th St-Penn Station:

Go to the NJ Transit railroad and get a Northeast Corridor train to the MetroPark/Iselin station.

    Travel time:  about 45 minutes

One way cost:  $8.00 (remember buy the ticket before your board of there will be a penalty added).

The total approximate travle  time from Danbury to MetroPark is 2 hours 55 minutes.  Figure your overall time will be 3 to 3 1/2 hours to allow for waiting for the train.

Aside from a car I don't think there would be an easier way to get from Danbury to Iselin.

  2. Danbury Branch on Metro-North's New Haven Line are very limited, so it's best if you drive into Stamford, then take New Haven Line to Grand Central.

From Danbury to New York City cost $14.25 if bought from Ticket Vending Machine or office.

    From Stamford, it cost $12.25.

At Grand Central, enter subway station.

Paid $2 in Single Ride Ticket from Metro-Card Vending Machine.

Take 42nd St Shuttle to Times Square. (Late night 7 train)

At Times Sq, follow the direction to Downtown & Brooklyn 1/2/3 lines and take any train down to 34th St-Penn Station.

Exit at south end at 32nd St where west exit lead you directly to New Jersey Transit track area.

From lobby or by line, go to New Jersey Transit Vending Machine and purchase one way $8 ticket on Northeast Corridor to MetroPark.
